Miss Danielle,

Well my days of volunteering have landed me a regular position at Charlestown Elementary on Mon, Wed, and Fri for an hour each time.

Monday was my first trek back to a school in which I was extremly fond of in my childhood years, I was so excited for the new bell, repainted Charlestown School, and a newly assembled play ground out in front. I just wish I could have run onto the playground, and jumped around. But in a suddeen realization, someone wouldn't understand the nostalgia in every slide, I decided to withdraw myself from it, and instead turned straight into the school.

It was different having to sign in, gave me a feeling of adulthood, and resposibility...also the occasional greetings from passing teachers new, and old were interesting. In mid walk up the corridor, a line of 20 or so children stop at the foot of the "hill" (anyone that went to Ctown will understand) in the corridor going towards the office to regroup into a silent, straight line, and after a minute or so of waiting for a nod from their teacher, proceeded to advance. I remember so long ago, having to do the same procedure, but I never understood then why it was so important, because the undignified feeling of being a dog, really never made me feel good.

In the beginning, I felt like I was accepted, but after awhile, children began calling out to me in a "hey" fashion, later using my name. The teacher, Mrs. Hamilton introduced me as Miss Danielle, their helper. First question I recieved was this: "Miss Danielle, what happened to your hair?" I don't think I've laughed so hard in my chest without showing laughter in a long time. I simply smiled and asked the young boy what happened to my hair. (Those of you who don't regularly see me, my hair has been transformed into a shrilly mess of knots, and small premature dreds, again.)

As for Tuesday, it was a mess of chopped vegetables. Stone soup day!! Everyone was having grave troubles with the cutting of potatoes, carrots, and squash with the stupid plastic forks they think first grade children can cut things with, but hardly work without strengh. I worked with almost every child by the end of the day. Many asked me if I knew their names, and a few I can remember: Payton, Landon, Meghan, Leah, Brooke(who wouldn't except my help until she cut herself with the knife), and Sarah. As everyone told me what they were doing today, and the following soup. They showed me the pilgrim hats they made, and showed me the stone they were going to put into the pot!! I remember stone soup, and eating it out of shells, dressing up, and making my grandmother this figure of a girl and boy pilgrim out of egg cartons. I told my story, and everyone had to agree that cornbread was their favorite part too!!

I had the most amazing memory of being 4 years old again, but I'll blog about it later. Just to inform everyone, my days of volunteering have just begun, and the feelings you recieve as first grade kids ask you if you know their names, and the high fives at the end of the day, make me want to become a teacher as quick as possible. I'll blog more about it later, the smile on my face after hasn't settled, and I don't want the screaming through my house to ruin it.

Summer in Hawaii by Skye Lyons

1 Throwing her luggage on the conveyer belt, Skye smiled to herself. Finally, she was allowed to go on a vacation with her friends. And on top of that, they(Skye, Eric, Matt, Marshall, Joe and Lisa) were going to HAWAII!!! They all got on the plane, and took their seats. Skye had been in love with Matt since kindergarten, so she was really happy when she found out thier seats were next to each other.

2 They started talking, and all throughout the flight they laughed and talked to each other. When Skye got tired Matt offered her his pillow. Then the captain came over the intercom and said: "Um, excuse me folks, but we're having technical difficulties. If you could all remain in your seats and stay calm we would really appreciate it.

3 Then, I started to feel very queezy and light-headed and I was almost gonna vomit, but two seconds before I vomited, he gave me a

4 barf bag... he gave me his barf bag that was under his seat!

5 I then said thanks. After he handed it to me I felt a lot better. The plane then quickly landed and we were in the beautiful sunset paridise of Hawaii!

6 At the Hawaii airport, we rented a cadilac escalade and drove to our hotel, "Paradise Cliff" which was on a cliff overlooking the beach. Lisa and Skye were sharing a room while the guys were in the room right next to them.

7 Everyone decided to go swimming on the beautiful white sand beach. They were swimming for hours, until they heard someone scream. A girl was standing next to a guy who looked like he was dead! They all rushed up to her and Skye checked the guy out. He had two small puncture holes on his neck, and Skye sighed. See her friends didn't know it, but Skye was a vampire slayer.

8 Skye sighed deeply. This was definitely not a good way to start off her vacation! Born with the strength and skill to fight vampires, Skye had to be prepared to stop the spread of evil at all times. She just wished evil would take a vacation once in a while...

9 When they got back to the hotel Skye went patroling later that night. she used her senses and thought someone was sneaking up on her so she did a back flip and a roundhouse kick at the dark object. It stumbled back and she saw it had a hood. She took off the hood and saw

10 It was MAtt. He wanted to see her and tell her that a monster was in his room and had eaten his friend. So Skye went to the next room and saw...

11 "Suprise Happy Birthday!" everybody screamed in unison. "What is this?" she asked confusely. We just found out it was your birthday and since your parents are dead we figured out you didn't get very many birthdays. " We bought this

12 vampire to scare you, and actually surprise you! "omg, u did that!" skye said. They brought the vampire in the room. It was chained up but suddenly broke through the chains!! Skye jumped up, did a roundhouse, hit its head and pull a stake from her pocket. She quickly dusted it, and said "Thanx guys!"

13 But then, Zombies came popping up. Skye drew her dagger out. It was weird. Everyone else drew out weapons. Matt drew out a sword, Eric drew out a bow and arrows, Marshel took out a magical staff, Joe took out a mace, and Lisa took out Katars. The zombies lunged foward, about to eat them!

14 and suddenly Buffy came. She climbed out of the Mystery Machine together with Scooby Doo and Harry Potter.Harry Potter did a Wingardium Leviosa and Buffy kicked some zombie butts.Scooby was so frantic looking for Shaggy but Shaggy was still back at the Pizza Hut buffet pigging in his pizzas.A zombie loomed behind Scooby but every one else was too caught up in the fight to notice.Scooby did not have eyes grown at the back...

15 of his head, but he got a feeling like someone was behind him. It was the "cheif zombie"! At first he was frightened, but then he was hungry, so he kicked the zombie's butt so he could go and eat. Scooby ended up killing all of the monsters and got to go back with Shaggy to eat pizza. Meanwhile, back in Hawaii, Skye was thanking Matt and the rest of them for her suprise and all of a sudden, Matt

16 woke up. This was yet another chapter in Matt's recurring dream. Despite seeing them in each dream Matt had no idea who Skye, or the other kids were. When he got up, it was time for breakfast and he was starving. To his delight his mom was making pancakes! He devoured four and was ready to go to school. He would be a early but his teacher, Mrs. Lyons, did not tolerate tardiness. As he rounded the corner to school on his bike he was met with an incredible surprise. The schoolyard was filled with

17 snakes! Big icky, scary snakes. Matt had been scared of snakes ever since he had found one in his shed and it bit him. He turned around and tried to figure out a way to get to class on time. Then he came up with it...

18 He ran outside and jumped on a snakes back. riding the snake he made it to class with an extra five minutes to spare. so he sat down at his desk and started talking to his friends. as the bell rang Mrs. Lyons came in the classroom with a new student who looked familiar then he realised it was that girl Skye out of his dreams

19 She smiled at him and thought, isn't that the guy from my dreams? She took a seat next to him and asked......

20 him if he had gum she could borrow. "Sure," he said. He gave her a stick of gum. He worked up his courage and said...

21 will you go out with me? i just feel that i know you somehow... and then she answered him and said

Sorry, I bat for the other team.

23 "You're gay?" he asked in astonishment. "No," Sky looked offended. "You play for the Redsticks softball team, and I play for the Leopards. It's sgainst the team rules to date someone from another team." Matt was crestfallen.

24 "So then we can date secretly no one needs to know about it. It'll be our little secret. I can't bare being apart from you. We need to be together. I love you." said matt

25 She looked at him in surprise. "I know you," she said slowly. "You're that guy Matt out of my dreams!" Matt's eyes widened in surprise. "Sure, I'll go out with you," she said, smiling. "There's a good movie playing tonight." She scrawled her number down on a scrap of paper, and gave it to him. "See you then," she said just before the bell rang, and she walked out, leaving behind a dazed Matt.

26 Later that night they ended up at hte movies and...

27 left early because they had both already seen the movie and it wasn't very good. so while Matt walked her home they talked and laughed together. Then they faced each other and

Channel 17

"We are blowing up on the phones right now"

This infomercial channel is on constant play at my house now, and I honestly can't figure out why yin is watching it...how can you be entertained. It is describing some kind of camera in which is the best.

"You'll never missed a memory with this"....

"Ya know what I do with my kids, they get really into it, they dress up at cowboys and pirates"

Honestly, sometimes my house is absolutly hilarious.

Lately the stands in society of innocent people being burdened with such that of eveil is evident. A younger girl being beaten by her father, and scorned by her mother, may only turn to either others already jaded by that of society or herself.

I loved the days when the sun rose sso beautifully all I wanted to do was explore, and render abstract thoughts deeming only useful to myself; moreover, uncomprehendable to others. My smile as a granted symbol of sheer knowledge of why others acted in such manners and my constant inhibitions to learn more raises each day by the unsuprising notion that there is constantly more to learn.. happy studying...

I still can't let go of what a great night I just had!

I've never seen so many tits

The party kicked off with my mother inviting Kevin to wear her little black dress, continued with Karyn ditching us, Joeli stealing something, and skinny dipping with nine fine ladies. The highlight of the night was "model" Catherine walking around with her shirt undone, no bra and wet underware from swimming, with all the other girls naked and changing!!!

Food list amounted to: 6+ bags of chips, 6 bottles of soda, 2 pizzas, cake, brownies, cookies, special cookies, twix(for the kids), cherry pie, ice cream bars, gold fish, and many other things....

From tickling fests, needed affection from all, the sight of naked ladies to stale food...we had a blast!!!! Joeli Caparo, Karyn Gardner(for alittle bit), myself, Becca Boisvert, Hailey Desjardins, Katherine Cummings, Jaq Betty, Kelsey Williamson, Bonnie Clayton, Steve Major, Tom Jacobellis, and Skevin Erickson(for alittle bit).

I hope everyone had a blast, thank you all for coming, and those of you who couldn't make it, you'll have to come to the next one!!! Keep the memories coming!

"Eliza wishes she could get with Danielle, I'd be lucky to make out with her"
-Jaq

"No more drinks for you toots"
-Bonnie

"Come on Steve, Danielle is naked and I've never seen so many boobs, just come walk by"
-Joeli

Two Bottles of Wine

"There is a crazy old woman smashing bottles on the side walk where her house burnt down two years ago, and people say that back then, she really wasn't that crazy."
--eels

I hate the realization of everything new, in which you don't want to act like but your own mother does. The sickness of downing two bottles of wine, after telling me its good for her, and yelling at my brother about everything. He already started crying, and now she attacking my father.

"Stop the crap you are doing, you have bad blood in you. You probably can't help yourself because of it."--my mother to my brother

I just put headphones on, and not listen to her... I can't wait for tomorrow, but I'm afarid of being too solemn with my friends tomorrow. Its too bad I left Barrington, and URI.

Tonight I dreamed that she was here

I HAD A GREAT TIME AT REHOBETH! Another weekend, another dance...everyone knows how it goes with me now...

Chelsea and Eric both came up from their places of habitat, to congregate with Colleen, Jess, some girls from Brown, friends from URI: Ashley, and Heather, and myself.

I was surprised with an early birthday because I won't be seeing Chelsea any time soon, with a rose, and a letter. I'll be smiling for awhile now.

We met some Brown girls, and tired to start a fire in their dorm, rolled all over the lounge, and outside with these chairs, and made colleen posters, saying..."Colleen is *arrows pointing down* syndrome."

Also we all walked around Thayer street, simply enjoy the hustle of Providence, and enjoying some wonderful food at East Side Pockets. We all got back to Barrington around 3am, and went to bed...Chelsea and I in her room, Colleen and Eric in a tent outside, and Heather and Ashley upstairs in the guest bed. It was fun, except for the part of getting up early to leave.

All in all, thanks for everyone for a great night, even though my face never expressed the happiness in which I felt. My allergies really were a big factor in the redness of my face and eyes, and the constant sniffles, and watering eyes...

"You're fifteen?"

So at Martys house, I had the pleasure of meeting many new people, and also meeting some Chariho graduates that stayed around town...

It was that of a paradox in time. I felt like I was walking through the halls for t he first time, looking around at everyone, so frightened and intiimidated. So young--and indeed I was standing completly sober next to a 25 year old man, telling me that it is not only a converstaion he hopes to continue with me.

However, from across a cloudy room, I recognized a guy I had seen over and over again through the Bess Eaton window, where in fact I had met many people. Billy, I learned was his name. He became very personal, sat next to me, calling me over and over "the hot Bess Eaton chick" sipping from his cup and talking with me, after realizing the friendlyness I encompassed in my personality.

We spoke for most of the time I was there, about different life aspects, and what I believed to be true about him, by just the information he told me in a small conversation. Later learning deeper means for his fright of failure, and the "problems" he encompassed thus far in life. From women, family, his cousin committing suicide and effects, to school work, religion, politic viewpoints, and thoughts of panic/anxiety attacks.

Later he took me to his car, to listen to his own music, which was an interesting experience. Sitting in a car, watching him put in an older cd, in which was evident had not been listened to since it was burned. He explained that he can only bear to listen to this particular cd with someone he feels comfortable enough with; moreover, that he does not drive off the rode into a ditch. Billy felt content when he brings another into his music thus, relating him to another...not just his thoughts, which tend to be frightening.

Also, I got accused of hitting on Martys girlfriend, which was pretty funny, and clinging to Cindy... I really miss hanging out with her, we had some fun times, it'd be nice to get to know her as well. I realized there is always something behind an innocent face.

au revoir...

Billy the Pimp!

I had the best conversation with a fellow I met at Martys party a couple nights ago, and I'll blog more about him later...

Also I almost got killed by a deer in a car, very scary!
